Laurel Jackson-Cook, PhD, MS, LPC,
Counseling, Neuro/Biofeedback, Owner, Clinical Director

For over 30 years, I have worked with people suffering from trauma, domestic abuse, addictions, and relationship stress. My work focuses on enhancing communication and social skills, managing stress and anger, resolving conflict, and supporting spiritual growth and personal transformation with children, adolescents and adults.

Dr. Jackson-Cook provides neuro/biofeedback under the supervision of Susan Antelis.

Founder of The Well Mind Center of San Antonio

Dr. Jones, founder of The Well Mind Center of San Antonio, has retired from counseling but remains an integral part of our team. He continues to contribute his expertise by analyzing QEEGs and developing personalized neurofeedback protocols.

Victori Amaya, BS
Practice Administrator

Victori will most likely be your first point of contact. You will find her to be very compassionate. She loves being able to help and to ensure that you are matched with someone that best fits with you and your needs.

Emily Surratt, MS, LPC, NCC
Counseling, Neuro/Biofeedback, Director of Neurofeedback Services

As the Director of Neurofeedback Services, Emily supports clients and caregivers in understanding the neurofeedback process—what to expect and whether it’s the right fit for their needs. She is committed to providing a safe, compassionate space where individuals and families can process, heal, and grow.

She offers talk therapy as well as neurofeedback and biofeedback services for children, adolescents, and adults—both in person and via telehealth. Her areas of expertise include grief and bereavement, anxiety, depression, trauma (including PTSD, abuse, and domestic violence), neurodiversity (ADHD, autism, and sensory processing disorder), LGBTQIA+ support, anger management, mood and personality disorders, and career counseling.

Emily provides neuro/biofeedback under the supervision of Susan Antelis.

Melissa Boggs, MS, LPC
Counseling, Neuro/Biofeedback, Director of QEEG Services

Melissa is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and various forms of biofeedback. She uses these skills to provide counseling and neuro/biofeedback for children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in supporting clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood and personality disorders, psychosis, dementia, and stress or anger management.

Melissa provides neuro/biofeedback under the supervision of Susan Antelis.

With a background in neuroscience, Emma provides counseling and neurofeedback for children, adolescents, and young adults. She believes everyone has the innate capacity for self-understanding and growth, and brings warmth, energy, and commitment to each session, creating a space where clients can heal, self-regulate, and thrive. Emma is working on her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at UTSA.

Carli provides Telehealth counseling for adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other challenges. She creates a compassionate, non-judgmental space to help teens build coping skills, process experiences, and navigate life’s transitions.

As a Marine Corps veteran and former criminal justice professional, Greg brings real-world experience and a team-focused approach to counseling. He works with first responders, military personnel, and clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, mood and personality disorders, and career challenges. He provides talk therapy and neurofeedback under the supervision of Dr. Mark Jones, helping clients overcome barriers and achieve personal growth..

Abby R. Vizina (formerly Streitz), MS, LPC, NCC
Counseling

Abby works with adolescents, adults, and couples. She utilizes a variety of therapies to meet individual client needs including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Depth Oriented Brief Therapy, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Abby is also fluent in American Sign Language, so she is equipped to meet the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients who are seeking counseling services.

Julie works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a special interest in teens and pre-marital counseling. She uses a variety of approaches, including art, CBT, journaling, play, and visualization, to meet the unique needs of each client. Guided by a mind-body-spirit philosophy, Julie brings compassion and enthusiasm to help clients discover their inner strengths and build resilience.

Katrina Lee Hallmark, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist
Neuropsychology Assessments

Dr. Hallmark has over 38 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. She provides individual therapy, neuropsychological evaluations, dyslexia testing, and consultation services. Her expertise includes cognitive disorders such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, ADHD, learning disorders, dementia, and more. Dr. Hallmark also offers parent and caregiver training to support families navigating cognitive challenges.

Dr. Romero is an Assistant Professor at UTSA and provides counseling and neurofeedback for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Romero offers virtual counseling and remote neurofeedback, combining expertise and compassion to help clients heal and grow.
